Jeff Pilson (born January 19, 1959, Lake Forest, Illinois, USA) is an American vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, known primarily for his bass guitar work.

Pilson was a member of heavy metal bands Dokken and Dio. He currently has his own progressive metal group called War and Peace, which was formed in 1993, releasing two albums: 1993's War and Peace and 2004's The Walls Have Eyes. He also works with his ex-Dokken bandmate, guitarist George Lynch in a two-member group called Lynch/Pilson.

He also played in the band Wild Horses (not to be confused with the British band of the same name).

Although he is known primarily for his work as a bass guitarist, Pilson also plays guitar and keyboards.

He played a member of the band Steel Dragon in the 2001 film Rock Star as well as playing on the film's soundtrack.

Pilson is currently the bassist for Foreigner. He joined the band in 2004.

NOTE: This bio needs a ton of attention. Jeff is obviousley too humble to get anything of substance out there on himself [he really is that good of a guy]. Jeff Pilson has written and produced multiple solo projects with ex-Dokken bandmate and guitar virtuoso George Lynch, along with his own "solo" efforts that are absolutely AMAZING - Guitar Gallows has had a chance to hear a couple of his solo CD's and were totally "blown-away". Besides playing almost ALL the instruments and performing ALL the vocals, Jeff engineered and produced as well. We will be catching up with Jeff in May 2010 when Foreigner is here [Las vegas] with Kansas and Styx - we will get the additional bio information ASAP for guitar gallows and his fans ~Guitar Gallows
